Shoe design and 3D infographics as output of a collaborative reflection on a brain science study investigating the selectivity level of cortical neurons to the location of the somatosensory stimulation. The research process included the creation of brain cortex maps with colors correlating to selectivity levels, later translated to physical height. The shoes pay homage to brushing used in the actual research process and apply the new integrated brush stimulation to produce additional brain activity maps for novel shoe designs.
